Early Navajo Attributed Sterling Leaf Bracelet Earrings
Sometimes it is the simple beauty of an object well made like this bracelet made of eight interlocking silver leaves. Seven and 3/8 inches long, 1/2 inch wide. The matching earrings are screw back. The earrings are marked Sterling. The simple stampings are an indication of early Navajo work done using basic leather punches. The hook closure also looks early - 1930's. At this time, coin silver was melted to create the jewelry. This set as well as the Hopi bracelet came from a friend of ours returning from Arizona recently after a family visit.Excellent condition.
