Morenci turquoise was known for its light to medium blue color and pyrite inclusions which gave a silver color when polished. This is a collector's turquoise, because the mine is exhausted of the turquoise now. It was one of the earliest turquoise discovered in southeastern Arizona. The three quarter inch oval cabochon is bezel set on a beautiful old silver split shank, signed on the back with the single letter A. We are currently researching the native american artist.
