Russian Silver Enamel Bracelet Gild
This unique early 1900's Russian enamel bracelet features a center domed oval plaque (1 1/4" x 3/4") with three enamel (3/4" x 3/8") plaques on either side. The center plaque depicts a winter scene of a troika ( Russian sled) being pulled by three horses with two people inside. The bracelet is 7 inches long. The clasp closes securely.
We have researched Russian enamel and find very little use of the yellow color. The mineral, chromium, is used to make the yellow color and is rare. Other colors in the center panel are red, white and black. The back of this bracelet is stamped 84 on each panel, including the center. The 84 is the Russian silver mark. The bracelet is gilded with 22KT gold.
