We were so excited to find this white moc croc vinyl umbrella handbag in such terrific vintage condition.Measuring 9 inches tall by 13 inches wide and three inches deep, the metal zipper runs around three sides opening it like a briefcase. Inside is signed Tolin Manufacturing, Miami Florida. There were many handbag makers in the Miami, Florida area in the Fifties and Sixties. Tolin created this clever novelty purse to hold an umbrella while having plenty of room inside to carry anything you might need. The acetate milk chocolate colored umbrella is a compact design with the spokes held together at the top inside a clear lucite holder to prevent unraveling. Pull the lucite holder up and the umbrella extends to its full size, ready for use. No holes in the umbrella, it is perfectly functional and fits well in the holder on the purse. An exceptional find for any vintage handbag collector, or someone who wants to make a fashion statement.
