Vintage Mexican Sterling Sodalite Ring Signed
This very sleek, modern style vintage Mexican Sterling ring has a domed inset cabochon of deep royal blue gemstone sodalite. During the late 1940's, a school of Taxco silver makers designed clean,spare modern designs. Antonio Pineda was one of the leaders of the modern Taxco silver movement with exhibits in New York City alongside other modernists like George Jensen. Marked Sterling Mexico and signed by the maker ME.The ring was designed before 1948. Excellent condition. Sodalite is said to have a calming effect on the wearer. Size 8.
